  • No API keys. You connect through Stripe.
  • No customer hears from Dunly until you say so.
  • Stripe handles card details. Dunly never sees card numbers.

When you press Start, your customers get a way to fix it.

When a card keeps failing, only your customer can fix it. They won’t do that from an email they don’t trust or a page that asks them to log in.

Emails that sound like you

Your name, logo and colours, with replies going to your support address. Add your own domain and they come from it too.

A page that needs no login

The link in the email opens the card form, the invoice and the amount. Customers can forward it to whoever handles billing.

Every case says what’s next

See each email, click and retry, and the next step. If a customer can’t be reached, Dunly tells you to contact them.

20%

Dunly takes 20% of what it recovers, and nothing otherwise.

No minimum and no monthly fee. A month with no Dunly recoveries costs nothing. How billing works

What counts

  • Your customer saves a card on Dunly’s page, and it pays within 7 days
  • Your customer confirms the payment with their bank on Dunly’s page
  • A retry Dunly schedules succeeds, if you choose Dunly retries

What never counts

  • Stripe’s own retries of the old card
  • Payments made some other way
  • Clicks, visits and emails sent

Refunded or disputed? Within 60 days of the payment, the fee is credited on your next bill, in proportion for a partial refund.

See the difference for yourself. By default 10% of new failed payments are left to Stripe alone and never billed, so you can compare.

What happens after you connect

  1. Connect Stripe. It takes a few minutes and never asks for your API keys.
  2. Your report is ready in minutes. Seeing it costs nothing.
  3. Nothing changes in Stripe, and no customer is emailed, until you press Start recovering. From then on Dunly works on every failed invoice payment, not only renewals.

Questions

Why does Dunly ask for full Stripe access?
Stripe only offers full access for this kind of connection, so Dunly asks for it, but changes nothing until you press Start recovering. After that, Dunly never changes prices, plans or subscription items, refunds anyone, or charges anything beyond the failed invoice.
Will my customers get two sets of emails?
Not once you turn off Stripe’s failed-payment emails. Stripe has no way to do that for you, so Dunly links you to the setting and asks you to confirm when it’s done.
Does Dunly replace Stripe’s retries?
Only if you want it to. By default Stripe keeps retrying the card while Dunly emails your customer. You can switch to Dunly retries in Settings, and then Dunly pauses Stripe’s retries on the invoices it takes over.
What if I stop using it?
Disconnect in Settings at any time. Open cases stop and invoices go back to Stripe’s retries. Your cases are deleted within 12 months unless you reconnect, and you can ask for them to go sooner. If you reconnect, recovery resumes without pressing Start recovering again.
How is my customers’ data handled?
Read the data processing agreement, the list of sub-processors and the privacy policy. Stripe handles card details, and Dunly doesn’t see or store card numbers.
